The EDP Bilbao Night Marathon is an International event attached to the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation organized by the Bilborun Athletics Club of Bilbao, under the production of Streetmarketing Event Company. The Judges of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation, Basque Federation and Bizkaia will be responsible for compliance with the regulations.
The 11th edition of the EDP Bilbao Night Marathon will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2019. The departure for the 3 distances will be at 7:00 p.m from the esplanade of the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao.
IT IS RECOMMENDED TO GO TO THE DEPARTURE IN ADVANCE TO PREVENT AGGLOMERATIONS AND HEAT PROPERLY.
The circuit is approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation.
MARATHON: The distance is 42.195 km and it has a route of 2 laps.
HALF MARATHON: The distance is 21,097 km and has a one-lap route.
PIRATE RACE: The distance is 10,000 km and it has a one-lap route.
The MARATHON and HALF MARATHON are open to athletes of any nationality, federated or not and who are 18 years old on the same day of the race.
The PIRATE RACE is open to athletes of any nationality, federated or not and who are 16 years old on the same day of the race. The participants of 16 and 17 years must fill out the parental authorization when making the online registration.
PARTICIPATION WITH ROLLERS, SKATING, NORDIC WALKING, ACCOMPANIMENT WITH PETS AND OTHER DISCIPLINES OTHER THAN ATHLETICS IS PROHIBITED.
The Organization recommends that all participants submit to a medical examination before the race, all participants are accepting the risk derived from the sporting activity. Likewise, the athlete declares to be in well physical condition to run this race and does it at his/her own risk.
The registration to the race is personal and implies the acceptance of this regulation. All participants accept each of the articles of this regulation and are honestly committed not to anticipate the time of departure and to cover the full distance before crossing the finish line.

*The price of the registration includes the RFEA license. Those participants who hold an RFEA license, Autonomic Federation where the competition or Carnet del Corredor Plus is held, will receive a refund of the corresponding amount on the credit card where they made the payment, once the race finished.
5.1. REGISTRATION CHECK
Once the participant makes the registration, they will receive an e-mail confirming their registration in the EDP Bilbao Night Marathon with the attached REGISTRATION PROOF.
Also from the CHECK REGISTRATION section of the official website, you can check and download your registration voucher.
It is very important that the participants verify that the registration data are correct so they can request changes on time.
5.2. MODIFICATION OF REGISTRATION
THE DEADLINE TO MODIFY REGISTRATION IS SEPTEMBER 30TH.
You can modify the data, transfer the registration to another person and also make distance changes once the registration is done. All modification requests are made by email to email@example.com or by phone 946462224 indicating the ID, name and surname of the registered runner.
5.3. CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION
You can purchase a cancellation insurance for any of the three distances. This cancellation insurance can only be acquired when doing the registration, in the 2nd STEP of the registration form. You can find the complete information about the insurance in the same registration form.
You can not cancell or have the money of the registration back under any circumstances for those who have not purchased the cancellation insurance. Once the registration is done, there will be no refund of the registration fee for the race for any reason, including the cancellation of the event caused by a force majeure, considering these as those in which the pertinent authorities force the suspension of the event.
5.4. REGISTRATION LIMIT
The deadline to register is October 13th or when registration are sold out. The total participants limit is 12,000 runners adding the 3 distances. The organization could increase the quota according to the demand and the organizational possibilities.

All those registered in the EDP Bilbao Night Marathon will have to collect their race bib number and bag at the Race Fair, held at La Casilla sport centre.
IT IS NECESSARY TO PRESENT THE ID OR PASSPORT WITH THE REGISTRATION PROOF.
If the participant can not pick up the dorsal on the indicated days, another person can make it for him/her, presenting the identity card of the participant, passport, or their copy, together with the registration proof.
The timing will be done through the dorsal-chip system that will receive all participants when picking their bag from the runner.
There will be a small device placed in the dorsal that should not be separated IN NO CASE.
It is not necessary to return the dorsal-chip once the race is over. If the dorsal is not worn on the chest, the timing of the test is not guaranteed.
IT IS OBLIGATORY TO PLACE THE CHIP DORSAL VISIBLY IN THE CHEST.
The dorsal-chips of the three distances are different, therefore it is obligatory to respect the selected race.
THE ATHLETES OF THE HALF MARATHON AND PIRATE RACE THAT GOES OVER THE ARC OF GOAL IN THE FIRST ROUND DON’T STOP, WILL BE DISMISSED AND REMOVED FROM THE RACE BY THE ORGANIZATION MEMBERS.
When making the registration the participant must select the number of EXIT DRAWER that corresponds to their estimated time of arrival to the finish line.
Participants of any of the distances that select DRAWER 1 and 2 must certify a race mark made in the last 3 years, indicating in the registration form the URL or LINK of the classification.

It is forbidden to access a drawer that does not correspond to that indicated by the color of the bib number. THE ORGANIZATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ELIMINATE THE CLASSIFICATION OF ALL ATHLETES THAT ENTERS IN A DIFFERENT DRAWER TO THE SELECTED.

A maximum time of 5h. To complete the distance from MARATHON. After this time, participants who have not finished the race must leave the course.
21k > max. 2’45h
It establishes a maximum time of 2h and 45 min. To complete the distance course of HALF MARATHON. After this time, participants who have not finished the race must leave the course.
10k > max. 1’45h
It establishes a maximum time of 1h and 45 min. To complete the course of the distance of the PIRATE RACE. After this time, participants who have not finished the race must leave the course.
Marathon athletes passing through the Half Marathon above 3h and the Km 30 above 4h must FINISH OBLIGATORY.

There will be wardrobe service from 5p.m. until 12a.m. located inside the Euskalduna Palace. Each runner must leave in the official gymsac, which is delivered along with the dorsal-chip, the personal items that they want to leave stored. In order to identify the gymsac, the participant will have to put the official sticker-card that comes in the envelope with the bib.
ONLY THE OFFICIAL BAGS OF THE EVENT WITH THE OFFICIAL STICKER WILL BE COLLECTED.
There will be a changing room for women and another for men, from 5p.m. until 12a.m. located on the basketball courts, next to EXPOKIROLAK, Euskalduna Palace. The participant must show his/her number to acced this service.
The organization will have eleven pacemakers that will set the appropriate rhythm so that participants can perform 3: 00h. / 3:15 h. / 3: 30h. / 3: 45h. / 4h. for the distance of Marathon and 1: 25h. / 1: 30h. / 1: 35h. / 1: 40h. / 1: 50h. / 2: 00h. for the Half Marathon. Pacemakers can be easily identified, as they will be marked with flags placed on the back of the pacemaker runner.
Following the rules established by the RFEA and the IAAF for the dispute of marathon race, the organization will make available to the participants refreshment areas with water every 2.5 kilometers. From km. 7.5 there will be every 5 km supply with POWERADE and from km 25, every 5 km solid refreshment and gels.
TASTING ON FINISH LINE
Upon arrival, participants will receive an individual bag with water, POWERADE and solid supplies provided by the sponsors.
There will be free physiotherapy service located on the basketball courts, next to Euskalduna Palace. For marathon runners there will be a special service of physiotherapists in the Hospitality Tent enabled for this purpose located in the finish area. The participant must show their number to access this service.
The first three classified with official yime of both sexs will receive trophies in ABSOLUTE CATEGORY of the two distances that will be delivered in the podium once the race has finished.
IT IS MANDATORY FOR THE RECEPTION OF THE TROPHIES THE PRESENCE OF THE WINNER IN THE PODIUM AFTER THE RACE. OTHERWISE THE ORGANIZATION IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY OF THEM.
They will also receive trophy the top three male and female runners with official time of the following categories of the Marathon and Half Marathon:
Veterans A, aged 35-39 years old
Veterans B, aged 40-44 years old
Veterans C, between 45-49 years old
Veterans D, between 50-54 years old
Veterans E, between 55-59 years old
Veterans F, 60 years and over
The classification will be made for both men and women taking into account the year of birth.
There will be a maximum period of 15 working days for the three classified in their category to contact the organization after receiving notification of the winner of the corresponding trophy.
The trophies will be sent to the classified's address by external messaging after the race.
They will receive cash prizes the top 3 classified in the distance of Marathon in male and female. There are also bonus by times for elite athletes. It is obligatory for the collection of these prizes to be present in the winners' podium the day of the race. It will be disqualifying:
· Provide false information on registration (age, ID, etc.).
· Be in the drawer that does not correspond with your drawer.
· Do not carry out the complete race.
· Do not go through the step controls located in the circuit.
· Do not wear the dorsal well visible, or hide the advertising of it.
· Running with dorsal or chip of another runner.
· Failure to comply with the instructions of the judges, personnel of the organization and / or Municipal Police.
· Running with two headphones. If you want to run with music you can only use one them.
The organization will have a liability insurance policy in accordance with current legislation. In addition all participants will be covered by an accident insurance policy.
The organization will have the necessary medical services to assist the broker during the development of the same.

The organization is not responsible for any damages that may be caused by the participants during the test, or derived from them to third parties.
Safety on the public road will be the responsibility of the Bilbao Municipal Guard and the organization itself. Medical services will be authorized to withdraw any participant for medical reasons.
The use of motorized vehicles or bicycles not belonging to the organization is strictly prohibited. It is not allowed to accompany participants in bicycles, skates or other transport vehicles.
When registering in the EDP Bilbao Night Marathon, participants give their consent to the processing of data based on the General Data Protection Regulation RGPD law affecting the entire European Union approved in 2016 and in force since May 25, 2018 , so that BILBORUN and APOLO74, SL, by itself or through third parties, deal automatically and exclusively for sports, promotional or commercial purposes, your personal data.
According to the new RGPD 2018 General Data Protection Regulations, the participant has the right to be forgotten, may exercise the power to request the deletion of their data if they are no longer necessary or if they have withdrawn their consent in the appropriate form. To do so, you must request in writing to the registered office of BILBORUN (c / Virgen de Begoña 47 bajo - Oficina 166 - 48006 Bilbao).
Also, according to the sporting, promotional, distribution and exploitation interests of the EDP Bilbao Night Marathon for the whole world (reproduction of photographs of the test, publication of classification lists, etc ...) by any device (Internet, advertising, Etc ...) and without a time limit, the registrants expressly give the organization the right to reproduce the name and surname, the site obtained in the general classification and the participant's own, the category, the sports brand made and its image.
This test belongs to the official calendar of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation and by means of its inscription, the rider expressly consents that his data be transferred to the Carnet Corridor program of that Federation and the companies participating in it for his promotional campaigns. The ownership of the Carnet Carrier will ensure that the rider participates covered by accident and liability insurance in any test of the official calendar of the RFEA in which he participates. The general conditions of the program Carnet Corredor and its promotional means can be consulted in the web page: www.carnetcorredor.es.
